Jodi Reeb is a painter and printmaker venturing into the realm of sculpture as a way to create a narrative of physically experiencing the work. She is painting organic shapes that are elevated off the wall moving in groupings such as circles, seeds and biomorphic forms that oscillate between painting and sculpture. She paints with encaustic on primed aluminum often incorporating metal leafing, rust and copper patina.
Process and repetition are also an important part of her work, and the designing and making of the work becomes something of a meditation.
Jodi shows nationally and also offers workshops. She received a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.
