Jill has been photographing her family, childhood home and grandparents' home since the early 90s. She documented the people, spaces and important objects with a sense of memory and as time has passed. She combines her interest in photography with ceramics in which moments are truly frozen in time. The "Small Monuments" house series are ceramic works in which she uses special glazes and incorporates photography into the pieces. She also is currently working on a vessel series and experimented with a unique glazing process creating 'crater' like surfaces.
Jill has a BFA from the UW-Oshkosh and an MFA from the University of Nebraska. She exhibits her work nationally and has her studio in Evanston, IL.
