Julie knew ever since she was a child growing up on the Shores of Lake Superior in Upper Michigan that she would work with her hands.  She took her first metals class at Northern Michigan University and jewelry has been her passion ever since.  She has taught at the University level and currently resides and maintains her studio in Calumet, Michhigan.  Each stone used in the jewelry is hand collected along the magnificent beaches of Lake Superior and the metalwork on all pieces is done by hand from start to finish, with many shapes influenced by the shapes she often will see in the forests along her favorite lake.
