Scott Leipski considers himself an Outsider Artist. Being largely self-taught he has developed a unique style of his own. He believes that the failures through experimentation have made the successes so much sweeter. Scott’s ceramic assemblages are at times deliberately ambiguous. A sense of whimsy is displayed that usually belies a deeper narrative. He selects and assembles the objects allowing his thoughts to flow freely during the sculpting process. Recently Scott’s work was acquired by the DeVos Art Museum in Marquette, MI to be housed in their permanent collect.
